Abstract
This curatorial proposal aims to recreate the Raphael Tapestries for the Sistine Chapel using modern technology to capture, in detail, these woven works. This proposal builds on my undergraduate thesis on the historical, theological, and political significance of the tapestries with the goal of introducing a new model for collaboration between art history, conservation, and digital technology that will model for other institutions ways of preserving the past without sacrificing it.
