Abstract

SLEEP is a contemporary art exhibition, curated by Anna Peftieva and sponsored by Moon Man Studios [MM], scheduled in November of 2023 in Valletta, Malta. MM is a creative concept studio launched by Anna Peftieva in 2015. As a platform for international art, Moon Man Studios launched an in-house publication titled Moon Man Magazine [MMM] in 2018. Focusing on the high-end qualities of print and graphic design, MMM brings forth timeless art through its portable exhibition layout and luxury packaging. Edition E, MMM’s first publication, plays on the melodies of dreamscapes and perceptions. With further juxtapositioning of masculine and feminine forms, Edition E celebrates the balance embodied by our universally shared existences. A strong focus on engaging contemporary art by living artists will encourage the Maltese locals to expand their artistic palette while gaining exposure to international markets. This approach will also create an opportunity to entice international attention towards Malta itself. Malta is a highly untapped treasure chest to be explored within the context of the arts and beyond. It offers unique and historic architecture with a rich cultural heritage spanning thousands of years. Malta also benefits from a capacity to host international gatherings of
great magnitude, as it has easy travel access and signature features. These are just a few reasons that make Malta a unique location for international and local contemporary art exhibitions.
