Abstract
The growth of the market as well as the difficulties faced by beneficiaries in this growing sector receive especially importance. This thesis looks at Hong Kong's fast growing luxury handbag auction industry, with an especially eye toward market development. In the realm of luxury handbag auctions, Hong Kong has become a rising star during the past few years. Hong Kong has thus attracted investors and buyers from all around the globe. Conversely, this market faces several major difficulties including the predominance of counterfeit products, the volatility of grading criteria, and the need of more customer trust. A number of elements lead to these difficulties. The study intends to investigate challenging conditions and create strategies of action meant to boost the dependability and sustainability of the market. The study stresses practical remedies including bettering authentication procedures, developing consistent evaluation criteria, and applying digital platforms. One can reach this by means of market trend analysis, body of current literature research, identification of the key factors affecting consumer behaviour as well as auction policies. This research provides useful insights into the future development of the Hong Kong luxury handbag auction market, offering recommendations that could elevate market transparency, increase consumer confidence, and therefore provide sustainable growth. Ultimately, the study contributes to a deeper understanding of the luxury goods auction market, filling a gap in the existing literature and offering practical advice for industry practitioners and policymakers.
