Abstract

There are many wine tasting programs in New York and the United States, however, none of them have the addition of art and art history in a carefully curated full sessional program. This is why Perfect Pairing: The Art of Wine will be successful among the masses with its uniqueness, impeccable quality, value, and creating an indelible experience. Our goal is to engage people with an enriched adventure in wine through the use of a professional, curated art selection and sensory experience. Perfect Pairing provides students with a six-step lesson consisting of the wine regions, history of the region, background information on the wine, art historical facts, wine tasting notes, and culminates in the tasting of three wines for the price of $90.00 per session.

Through a marketing plan consisting of targeted online and website advertisements, paper magazine ads, as well as conducting meetings with corporate executives we plan to meet our financial projections for our first three years. At the end of Year 3, we estimate having $334,584.00 in profits. Since the American wine industry is booming, being valued at $60.1 billion in 2017 with projections of reaching $85 billion in 2025, we see Perfect Pairing as the perfect business to take advantage of this upswing and fulfill consumer desires for great value, quality, and overall experience.

Students receive all the benefits of a traditional wine tasting, and also obtain key foundational art historical information that provides a basis for the novice and a new perspective for those with previous experience in art and art history in a relaxed, enjoyable environment. Perfect Pairing creates a unique and unforgettable experience for all. We wish to give students cherished information that they can carry with them through life by truly creating the perfect pairing of knowledge and luxury.
