Abstract
This business plan presents The Vault, an annual cross-collectible fair that is designed to operate during Miami Art Week. The purpose of this venture is to integrate the acquisition of fine art and rare luxury products such as high jewelry, wine, timepieces, decorative art and designs. The fair is positioned at the intersection of culture and luxury consumption and responds to the current trends of collector and consumer behavior of High-Net-Worth Individuals. The main objective of The Vault is to convert existing luxury consumers into passionate art collectors. Most High-Net-Worth Individuals are confident with acquiring high-value luxury products yet they remain hesitant to enter the art market due to its strong market barriers. Price opacity and information asymmetry make new collectors feel intimidated and uncertain. Buying art also requires cultural capital and knowledge which makes art a much riskier and more difficult purchase in comparison to luxury goods. By showcasing art within a familiar context The Vault reduces the psychological barriers and makes art accessible to newcomers. Unlike traditional art fairs which operate at large scale, The Vault is more intimate and exclusive. The concept prioritizes privacy, discretion, and relationship-building. The event is limited to approximately 20–30 exhibitors and operates by invitation only.
