Abstract
Luxury art collectors in Southern California need an erudite and trustworthy source who can supply fine jade pieces by established artists and from private collections at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, no dedicated retail gallery exists in West Hollywood, California who specialize in high-quality jade creations. In addition, there is no industry/market authority within this specialized field to advise them accordingly. Jade craftsmanship needs to evolve in sync with contemporary trends, preserving heritage while innovating. It calls for aesthetic breakthroughs, fusions with other art forms, and a connection to modern life1. White Turtle Gallery (WTG) intends to occupy the vacancy in the luxury market for fine jade with the presence of a visitable retail space in West Hollywood. We will cater exclusively to collectors and connoisseurs of Chinese jade by offering a robust selection of high-quality creations from established artists who aesthetically exemplify and bridge traditional imagery with contemporary lifestyles, as well as offering more aged and antique creations received on consignment. WTG plans to satisfy the need for quality jade creations at price points for upper mid-tier and top-tier collectors. Through artist partnerships, temporary exhibitions, and educational programming WTG strives to establish an innovative space that not only meets demand for premium Chinese jade, but also increases awareness about this art form. Our primary goal is to become West Hollywood's leading spot for fine jade while building a lasting reputation as respected authorities within our field.
