Abstract

This Masters Project, Butterfly Effect: The Lupus Exhibition and Auction, aims to look at artists with Lupus and their artworks and curate an exhibit and silent auction in which the proceeds would go to the Lupus Research Alliance, benefitting people with Lupus as researchers continue to look for a cure for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. The goal is to raise awareness of Lupus and money for research and to provide visibility to artists with Lupus to help them with their career. This project will curate the work of four artists with Lupus as well as several other artists with chronic illnesses. There will be a month long exhibition and silent auction of works donated by the artists.
