Abstract

"Fiber Realm: A Journey through Time to Future Textures" is a trans-temporal feast of fiber art. We have invited 22 renowned fiber artists to showcase 65 works, aiming to explore the integration of art with life, tradition with innovation through the ancient yet modern medium of fiber. The exhibition is divided into two chapters. Chapter One "The Textured Years · Splendid Fibers" retraces the development of fiber art from the Arts and Crafts Movement to the present, showcasing the unique charm of Chinese-style fiber art through representative artists' works. Chapter Two "Weaving of Future · Boundless Fibers" focuses on the innovative practices of contemporary fiber art, exploring the limitless possibilities of fiber art in nature, humanities, and technology. This article will analyze the curation through eight sections: Curatorial Proposal, Venue, Works List, Artists' Biographies, Exhibition Layout, Marketing Plan, Budget, and Essays. Two essays, "The Textured Years · Splendid Fibers: The History of contemporary Fiber Arts" and "Weaving of Future · Boundless Fibers: The Expression of Life in Fiber Art" will provide in-depth analysis, research, and elaboration on the two chapters of the exhibition. We hope that this exhibition will arouse people's attention to fiber art and their love for "life."
